Illustrations by Bahar Amanzadeh
for the folktale: "Simorgh"
|
| Known as "Bahar" , she was
born and raised in Iran and moved to the US at 1999. She
was formally educated as a dentist and was practicing
and teaching dentistry for some time, but what she admired
was art and kids! Persian calliography, poetry, painting,
teaching art to children, and recently writing and illustrating
for children's books has been things that made her quit
her dentistry carreer. Currently living in San francisco
with her 3 year old daughter, she is working on renarrating
and illustrating some of the persian folktales and stories.
