Kris Aro McLeod lives in northern California with her husband, their two children, and Cody the dog, a rascal and an unwitting collaborator in many of Kris's projects. Illustration and writing for children are Kris's main focus. She has a MFA in painting and is a member of SCBWI. Aside from illustrating, Kris currently teaches art part-time in grades 4, 5, and 6. She has worked as a Montana Artist in the Schools and as a California Poet in the Schools. Her art has been exhibited from Michigan to China and lots of places in between.
