Born in Hong Kong, Donald grew up in the San Francisco
Bay Area after moving there as a child. Years of drawing
doodles in school along with a love of comic books lead
him to study illustration at the California College
of the Arts. There he developed various styles ranging
from caricatures to editorials.
He has since worked mainly in the children’s genre.
Currently, his favorite media is colored pencils over
acrylic, although he also finds working with watercolors
very liberating. Donald continues to reside and draw
his "doodles" in the San Francisco Bay Area.
