Jeff Jackson

Jeff Jackson earned his degree in Graphic Design Illustration/Animation from San Jose State University and has worked as both an animator and illustrator since then. He has illustrated for a variety of jobs and clients including, Hallmark Cards Inc, Nature Company, Wizard Magazine, and the Seaside Police Department. He loves children’s books and was given the chance to illustrate his first, The Silly Chicken, which is now available (buy six or seven copies please).

Animation production is another creative outlet for Jeff. He started in animation as a traditional effects animator and worked his way to animation director. Along the way he was given the opportunity to work in the story department and has found a new direction; storyboarding. He currently teaches storyboarding, figure drawing, animal drawing and motion, perspective drawing, and traditional/digital animation at Cogswell College in Sunnyvale, CA. Come on by and say hi, he may let you sit in his class if you’ve purchased a copy of his book.

Jeff lives in San Jose, CA. with “the kids” (three snakes, an aoxylotyl, and a blue tongued skink) and his lovely and patient wife. When he’s not teaching, animating, illustrating or otherwise causing trouble, he enjoys a nice quiet hockey game, spending the day drawing at the zoo, and adding to his “dust gathering” collection of toys.
