Kieren Dutcher lives in Oakland, Ca, with her husband, two kids, a mischievous
dog, a whiny cat, and lots of art supplies. She graduated from California
College of Arts and Crafts in design, and took off for Europe. When she
came back she taught elementary school until she realized if she taught
art she wouldn’t have to teach math or grade papers. When she isn’t teaching
art to middle school kids, she is illustrating the many stories in her
head, driving her kids around town, walking her dog in the hills, reading,
knitting or working in her garden.
