Paula is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator, living
and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. She holds
a BFA in Illustration from Art Center College of Design
in Pasadena, California, and a BS in Textile Science
from the University of California, Davis.
Art has always been her first love. She started drawing
at a young age, earning accolades from numerous teachers,
awards in student shows, and the Bank of America Award
for Art. Even while earning a science degree at UC Davis,
she earned additional money for school by working as
a photographer, writer, and layout artist for The California
Aggie, the Campus daily newspaper. She also worked as
a graphic designer, producing posters for the UC Davis
Committee for Arts and Lectures.
After many years of a successful career in retail sales
with Nordstrom, she wanted to go back to her Artist
roots, so she applied and was accepted to the prestigious
Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
After finishing a 4-year program in a record 3 years,
8 months, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in
Illustration and is now enjoying a career as an Artist.
Paula also enjoys quilting, knitting and making handmade
jewelry, which she sells online and at local venues.
She has participated in shows with her jewelry at The
Crucible in Oakland, Kearny Street Workshop and the
Asian Heritage Street Celebration in San Francisco,
and has consigned with Folk’s Art gift shop in Oakland.
