Sarah Ackerley grew up in Waxahachie, Texas in a family
of seven children. Her parents had a reputation for
giving books as gifts for all holidays-Valentine's Day
included, and so Sarah had no choice but to read them.
Fortunately, she loved to read and she developed an
early fascination with picture books that she never
lost.
Sarah was thrilled when her first picture book, PATRICK
THE SOMNAMBULIST, was published in April 2008 by Blooming
Tree Press. PATRICK THE SOMNAMBULIST features the adventures
extraordinaire of one sleepwalking, plunger wearing,
superstar penguin who becomes the talk of the penguin
community and the world's first multi-millionaire penguin
under the age of seven all in one 32 page book. Wow.
