Tim Mitoma has been doing fine art and
illustration in the Bay Area for thirty years and during
that time has also done merchandising design for the
music industry. Past clients on a staff or freelance
basis have included Fearon-Pitman, Addison-Wesley, Fireman’s
Fund, Shaklee, Levi’s, Kiss, Toy Story, Verbatim, the
Beatles, Bay to Breakers, and Activision. He has won
numerous awards from the Los Angeles Society of Illustrators,
California State Fair, Northern California Arts Incorporated
, Artisans Gallery, and Print Magazine. Although he
illustrated two ABC books for the souvenir market a
number of years ago, creating children's books has always
had back burner status until now. Currently, he is collaborating
on a children's dog book project with a writer and designer
with three other personal stories under development.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Illustration from the
Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
