Benefits of volunteering vary according to the amount of time and energy required to complete the job assigned. Your regional advisor will be able to tell you more about the benefits of volunteering for specific activities. Benefits may include:

• Free or reduced admissions to certain events
• A chance to meet industry professionals including writers, illustrators, editors, art directors and agents.
• Reserved spots at popular events
• Complete happiness

Find out how you can help:

1- Onsite: Help our three regions conferences onsite with events preparations, sales and administrative tasks. Please contact your regional advisor to find out how you can help.

2- Editorial: Contribute articles for the Acorn, the North-Central online newsletter. We're interested in showcasing our members' artwork, both published and unpublished. Articles and other information should be sent to Tekla White at: tnwrites@cal.net. Acorn reserves the right to edit materials sent for publication.

3- Special projects: (such as critique group coordinator)

4- Design your own project or event (such as a writer's day or a retreat) and contact your regional advisor for getting help with the funding.
